Rev. Julie Montague
is a licensed and ordained Unity Minister, graduating from Unity School for Religious Studies in 1995. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
Julie knew from an early age she was destined to be a Unity Minister since growing up in a family of Unity Students of Truth, going back four generations. Unity to Julie is a way of life not just a Sunday experience.
Julie has studied many of the world religions including Hinduism, Buddhism, Native American / Earth Religions, Metaphysical Christianity and various forms of meditation. She learned Transcendental Meditation at age 16 and has been meditating daily since. She believes in the power of prayer to heal, prosper and protect, and has been witness to its miracle-working power.
She has studied Non-Violent Communication, Heart Math, Sacred Psychology and Celtic Traditions. She has a personal mission to be part of creating a more peaceful world and a pristine environment in which human beings can thrive and evolve into higher levels of consciousness. Julie believes this happens through the study and practice of healthy, supportive community. As each individual lives into their highest potential, they understand the connection and oneness of all that is, knowing whatever we think, say or do affects the whole of the Universe.
Rev. Julie Montague was the founding minister of Unity of Blue Water in 1994 and over the last 20 years has served ministries in the United States and Canada. She was elected Chairperson of the Board of the Association of Unity Churches Canada and served as Chairperson of the Board of Unity Worldwide Ministries in 2010, and the leadership team of the Association of Global New Though. Julie introduced the Season for Nonviolence created by the Association of Global New Thought to Port Huron in the first year of this annual event.
Rev. Julie is a lifelong student of Spirit. She loves to hike, ski, kayak and ride horses. She is married to Roy Ayers, also a Unity Minister, and has three children and three grandchildren who she adores.
Life is a flow like a mighty river. We are all in this flow together, so let us celebrate the joy of being together and learn how to love each other completely, unconditionally and deeply.
Rev. Julie has spoken all over the world and the U.S., covering at least 15 different states; and Canada, Dominican Republic, Barcelona-Spain, and Melbourne- Australia.
